More Than Your Traditional Ice Cream Stand in Dunmore
When we created Sport Hill Creamery, we wanted to offer the classic ice cream shop experience we grew up loving while putting our own fun spin on it.
Located in Dunmore, PA, just minutes from Scranton, Sport Hill Creamery serves premium hand-dipped ice cream, soft serve, milkshakes, floats, sundaes and plenty of specialty desserts.
But if you’ve visited us already, you know we like to have a little fun with ice cream too.
Our menu includes signature creations like our Grand Slams, homemade ice cream Sammies, Sportcakes, Barz, ice cream tacos and our Hole in One cones. You can stick with one of our creations or customize something with your favorite ice cream, candies, cookies, sauces and toppings.
And we’re always working on something new.

One thing we have loved since opening Sport Hill Creamery is creating our weekly ice cream specials.
From Oreo-inspired treats and Christmas in July to Shark Week, Beach Week and Carnival Week, we love giving our customers something different to look forward to.
Some ideas work exactly how we pictured them. Others change about 15 times before they ever make it to the window. That’s part of the fun!
We listen to our customers, watch what you order and use your feedback to help us decide what stays, what changes and what we should create next.

As exciting as it is to create new desserts, one of our favorite parts of opening Sport Hill Creamery has nothing to do with ice cream.
It’s seeing families sitting together outside the stand.
It’s teammates stopping after a game, grandparents bringing their grandchildren for a cone, friends meeting for dessert and kids trying to convince their parents that ice cream absolutely counts as dinner.
That’s what we pictured when Sport Hill Creamery was still just an idea.
We wanted to create a family-friendly ice cream shop in Dunmore where people could slow down, enjoy a treat and spend a little time together.
Seeing that happen every day has made all the work leading up to opening worth it.
